World-Renowned Budweiser Clydesdales to Parade Down River Street

June 6 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Local visit in support of Anheuser-Busch’s 16-year partnership with Folds of Honor and in celebration of Budweiser’s 150th anniversary and America’s 250th birthday

The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales are headed to Savannah for a multi-day series of appearances and celebrations from June 4–6 in honor of Budweiser’s 150th anniversary. Savannah is one of the featured stops on the Budweiser Clydesdales’ cross-country tour celebrating 150 years of Budweiser and its 16-year partnership with Folds of Honor.

On Saturday, June 6, the Budweiser Clydesdales will arrive at Morrell Park at 10 a.m. At 11 a.m., the Budweiser Clydesdales will parade along historic River Street. The parade will conclude at Plant Riverside around 12:30 p.m. with photo opportunities.

For 150 years, Budweiser has celebrated the people, traditions, and moments that define America. In partnership with celebrations happening nationwide, the Savannah events are designed to bring communities together while honoring both Budweiser’s historic milestone and America’s 250th birthday. As part of the weekend celebration, Budweiser and Southern Crown Partners will also present a check supporting Folds of Honor, helping provide educational scholarships to the families of America’s fallen and disabled service members and first responders. Together, Anheuser-Busch, its industry-leading brands like Budweiser, and wholesaler partners have donated $37 million, helping fund 7,400 scholarships for Folds of Honor recipients.

Since 1933, the Budweiser Clydesdales have served as the enduring symbol of Anheuser-Busch’s heritage and commitment to quality. The traveling hitches make hundreds of appearances annually across the country and remain one of the most recognizable attractions in sports and entertainment.

Each hitch horse stands approximately six feet tall at the shoulder, weighs an average of 2,000 pounds, and consumes up to 50 pounds of hay and 30 gallons of water daily. Every hitch also travels with a Dalmatian, honoring the historic brewery tradition of the dogs accompanying horse-drawn beer wagons.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early for all appearances. The River Street festivities are being hosted in partnership with Savannah’s Waterfront and Plant Riverside District as part of the citywide celebration.
