District Live, a state-of-the-art live music venue at Plant Riverside District in Savannah, Ga., recently announced an impressive line-up of live music performances for Spring 2023.

“From GRAMMY Award-winning artists to rising stars and popular tribute bands, District Live truly has something for everyone this spring,” said Scotty Henley, Director of Entertainment at JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District. “As Savannah’s Entertainment District, we’re committed to offering opportunities for local residents and visitors to enjoy world-class music and are excited to see talented artists on the District Live stage.” District Live recently announced the following performances:

THE WILDFLOWERS: TOM PETTY TRIBUTE BAND
Saturday, February 11 — 8 p.m.
$25 in advance | $30 day of show
Known as America’s #1 tribute to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, The Wildflowers band has successfully toured the country for more than seven years, performing at festivals, night clubs and major concert venues. The Wildflowers bring an infectious energy, musical skill that evokes Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers in their prime and a set list of favorite hits, including “Breakdown,” “Don’t Do Me Like That,” “Refugee,” “I Won’t Back Down,” “Running Down a Dream,” “Free Fallin’ ” and many more.

WINEHOUSED: THE AMY CELEBRATION

Winehoused: The Amy Celebration is a 10-piece band tribute to the talent, beauty and music of Amy Winehouse. The show has been described as a “full-fledged Amy party that will leave you breathless” and features rich background vocals, lush horns and tons of style.

KIDD G
Friday, March 3 — 8 p.m.
$20 in advance | $22 day of show
Known for his innovative mix of traditional hip-hop and old-school country, Kidd G is a Hamilton, Ga. native who enjoyed stardom with his breakout single “Dirt Road.” Kidd G’s honest songwriting and warm, dynamic vocal delivery have amassed 1.5 million Spotify listeners per month, top 10 rankings on Amazon Music charts as well as a nod from CMT network. Presented in conjunction with Live Nation.

THE CELTIC TENORS
Wednesday, March 15 & Thursday, March 16 — 8 p.m.
$50 in advance | $55 day of show
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with two live performances by The Celtic Tenors, acclaimed Irish singers who enjoy a global following. Comprised of Matthew Gilsenan, James Nelson and Daryl Simpson, The Celtic Tenors are world-class artists who perform renditions of beautiful Celtic classics, a capella music and popular contemporary songs. 

THE BODEANS
Saturday, March 18 — 8 p.m.
$50 general admission seated | $30 general admission standing
Founded by Kurt Neumann in 1986, The BoDeans are the rock group behind generational anthems like “Good Things,” “You Don’t Get Much” and “Idaho” as well as the hit TV show Party of Five theme song “Closer to Free.” Over the years, The BoDeans have supported top artists, including U2, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Tom Petty, The Pretenders and David Bowie.

STOP LIGHT OBSERVATIONS with LITTLE BIRD
Saturday, March 25 — 8 p.m.
$15 in advance | $20 day of show
Charleston, S.C. alternative band Stop Light Observations has an indie rock sound that has amassed more than nine million Spotify streams. To date, the band has performed at prestigious festivals, including Bonnaroo and SXSW, and shared the stage with Hootie & the Blowfish, Avett Brothers, Old Crow Medicine Show and other top acts. Charleston indie band Little Bird will join Stop Light Observations for this special performance. Presented in conjunction with Live Nation.

THE TRAVELIN’ MCCOURYS

Comprised of brothers Ronnie and Rob McCoury, as well as fiddler Jason Carter, bassist Alan Bartram and guitarist Cody Kilby, The Travelin’ McCourys are a GRAMMY Award-winning band that is bringing bluegrass into the 21st century with performances that Rolling Stone calls “a sublime combination of rock and bluegrass, contemporary and classic, old and young.” Named the 2018 Instrumental Group of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA), The Travelin’ McCourys have earned top acclaim in the industry and are the only group to have each of its members recognized with at least one IBMA award for his instrument. Presented in conjunction with Live Nation.

SUPER BLUE: KURT ELLING & CHARLIE HUNTER
Saturday, May 27 — 8 p.m.

Two-time GRAMMY Award-winner Kurt Elling will be joined by producer-guitarist Charlie Hunter for a special live performance of their jazz album Super Blue, which features a head-turning torrent of high-energy funk, indelible beats and current lyrics. Called “the standout male vocalist of our time” by The New York Times, Elling is known for his rich baritone, four-octave range and compelling storytelling.
