Thank you to everyone who came out to experience the magic of the season with us! We look forward to seeing you next year on Saturday, November 28, 2026.
Every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, friends and families gather at the waterfront for a dazzling spectacle of lights on the Savannah River. The 24th Annual Savannah Lighted Boat Parade on Saturday, November 29, 2025 was led by the Georgia Queen Riverboat. Twenty five dedicated captains and their crews created extravagant holiday light displays and paraded twice from Eastern Wharf to the Talmadge Bridge and back past Plant Riverside District and all of River Street.
Holiday cheer was abundant at the Holiday Kickoff at Eastern Wharf. Highlights included the annual lighting of the Eastern Wharf Christmas trees, a visit from Santa Claus, food trucks, and entertainment! The Park at Eastern Wharf served as the parade’s headquarters and staging area where emcees welcomed participants and a panel of judges determined the award winners along the newly extended riverwalk. The parade boats began and ended their voyage at the dock at Eastern Wharf, which made it a prime parade watching location.
Plant Riverside District was also an excellent boat parade watching location. The Savannah Christmas Market at Plant Riverside District is in full swing with lights, music, shopping, festive food and beverage options and joyful crowds. Stroll through the Festival of Trees and marvel at the Gingerbread Display in the Power Plant Lobby.
Rousakis Riverfront Plaza and all along the riverwalk are also great parade watching locations. Take time to stroll and shop along the waterfront for unique gifts available at our River Street merchants!
