District Live, a state-of-the-art live music venue at Plant Riverside District in Savannah, Ga., recently announced a full line-up of live entertainment through the end of 2022. The schedule includes performances by top musicians and national comedians as well as a live recording of the popular Not Another D&D Podcast.

“At Plant Riverside District, we’re proud to be known as Savannah’s Entertainment District and want to continue to raise the bar, offering exceptional performances and live entertainment experiences,” said Scotty Henley, Director of Entertainment at JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District. “From returning favorites like Bumpin Uglies to highly anticipated performances by American Idol winner David Cook, alternative rock favorites Marcy Playground and the iconic band Melvins, there is truly something for everyone to look forward to at District Live.”

Wednesday, September 21  — 8 p.m.

A tribute band with a dedicated following, Badfish channels the spirit of reggae rock and ska punk band Sublime. The band performs Sublime’s greatest hits, including “What I Got” and “Santeria,” with a passion and fury that is entirely their own. Presented in conjunction with LiveNation.

Friday, September 23  — 8 p.m.
$15 in advance | $18 day of show
Georgia-based band The Orange Constant has a vintage rock sound with a contemporary twist. The former AthFest headliners are known for their instrumental mastery with psychedelic undertones, progressive composition and spontaneous, pop-like sensibility. Presented in conjunction with LiveNation.

Friday, September 30  — 8 p.m.

Melt is a New York City-based band with a passion for soul, psychedelia, existential pop and ethereal jams. Best known for their Billboard charting single “Sour Candy,” Melt has a genre-fluid sound inspired by an eclectic mix of top artists, including Diana Ross, Wilco, The Grateful Dead and Maggie Rogers. Presented in conjunction with LiveNation.

Thursday, October 6  — 8 p.m.

Melvins, a pioneering three-piece metal/grunge band, will bring their Five Legged tour with special guest We Are the Asteroid to District Live. Originally formed in 1983, the band has toured with KISS, White Zombie, Nine Inch Nails, L7, Primus, Tool, Rush and has been featured on the Ozzfest tour. Presented in conjunction with LiveNation.

Friday, October 7  — 8 p.m.

Vista Kicks is a California-based rock and roll band anchored by four lifelong friends and a sound inspired by a mixture of rock and roll, soul, jazz, folk and the oldies. The band has appeared at KAABOO Del Mar, SXSW, All Points East and Camden Rocks and has supported major acts, including The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan and Neil Young. Presented in conjunction with LiveNation.

The three-piece alternative rock band Marcy Playground brings 25 years of experience to the District Live stage. Best known for their #1 Billboard hit single “Sex and Candy,” Marcy Playground’s songs have been featured on the film soundtracks for Cruel IntentionsAntitrustSimply IrresistibleHurricane Streets and more. Presented in conjunction with LiveNation. 

Saturday, October 22  — 8 p.m.

The winner of American Idol’s seventh season, David Cook is a record-breaking singer-songwriter with a platinum-certified album and two platinum-certified singles, “The Time of My Life” and “Light On.” Following his 2018 Broadway debut in Kinky Boots, Cook has continued to release new music with pop influences including his anxiety-focused single “Reds Turn Blue” and latest single “TABOS (This’ll All Be Over Soon).” Presented in conjunction with LiveNation.

Originally from Brookwood, Ala., Rocky Dale Davis is a popular stand-up comedian whose viral videos on TikTok and Instagram have more than 500 million views and one million followers. Davis has also appeared on “Dating No Filter” on E! & NBC’s “Bring The Funny.” Presented in conjunction with Big Comedy Network.

Country artist William Clark Green is known for his sandpaper vocals and country-rock sound. Based in Texas, Green uses towns throughout the state as the main inspiration for his albums. Presented in conjunction with LiveNation.

Reggae-rock band Bumpin Uglies returns for an encore performance at District Live. Founded by Brandon Hardesty, Bumpin Uglies is a six-piece grassroots band from Maryland that forged their own path to become a national touring act defined by their groove-focused music and honest lyrics. Presented in conjunction with LiveNation.

Sunday, December 4  — 7:30 p.m.

Watch as Dungeon Master Brian Murphy joins Emily Axford, Jake Hurwitz and Caldwell Tanner to record an episode of Headgum’s “Not Another D&D Podcast” live and in-person. A popular comedy podcast based on the role-playing game Dungeons and Dragons, “Not Another D&D Podcast” follows three unlikely adventurers as they attempt to right the wrongs caused by a group of legendary heroes who did more harm than good.
