Can I drive on River Street? 

Yes, it is one way flowing west (Talmadge Memorial Bridge end) to east end.  Dropping passengers should be on the right (sidewalk) side.

How do I drive down there? 

Take MLK Jr. Blvd. north to River Street and turn right (east). Also access River Street from Bay Street via the Barnard Street Ramp, Bull Street Ramp, Abercorn Street Ramp, Lincoln Street Ramp and East Broad Street Ramp.

Is there parking on River Street? 

Yes there are 3 city lots and 1 private parking lot – lots are located at the Barnard Ramp, Abercorn Ramp and Lincoln Ramp.

Is there an elevator?

Yes! Located on Bay Street at the intersection of Bull Street – between City Hall and the Hyatt Regency Savannah. Take the elevator down and the River Street Visitors Center will be at the base of the ramp.

How can I ride the ferry?

The Savannah Belles Ferry provides free passage across the Savannah River between Savannah’s Waterfront and Hutchinson Island, home of the Savannah Convention Center and Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa.
