Savannah’s Waterfront is the place to be on New Year’s Eve with a festive atmosphere perfect for ringing in the new year. The evening features a variety of celebrations hosted by our waterfront restaurants, bars, and hotels – offering live music, dancing, special menus, and themed parties.

As the New Year approaches, crowds gather along the river to experience the highlight of the night: a spectacular 10-minute fireworks show launched from a barge on the Savannah River. The midnight fireworks light up the sky and reflect over the water, creating a breathtaking display that marks the start of the new year in true Savannah style. Our show is visible from Rousakis Riverfront Plaza, Plant Riverside District, Eastern Wharf, and all downtown rooftop bars.
