Underage Drinking Policy
Savannah’s Waterfront promotes the responsible use of alcohol for the safety and enjoyment of everyone. We have a clear position against underage drinking and will not tolerate underage drinking at our festivals and events. We understand that underage drinking damages and alters the developing mind of youth and that other risky behaviors come as a result. We also recognize that parents are the number one protection against underage drinking. Those in violation of the law are subject to arrest and removal from the festival.
The four practices we employ to prevent and reduce underage drinking are:
- Wristbands to identify guests who are at least 21 years old
- ID checks at all bars – in addition to ID checks at wristband tents
- Allowing only one beverage per person per purchase
- Requiring responsible alcohol server training for all wristband and bar staff
